Here and Now in Psychodrama : Focus on Director’s Practional Tasks

Abstract

|
The concept of Here and Now is very important in most of the psychotherapy as well as psychodrama. The objective of this paper is to identify what the Here and Now in psychodrama means and how the director actualizes < Here and Now > in psychodrama stage. The present includes the past and the future. The space composes of the meanings. In group psychotherapy < Here and Now > means the spot where the counselor is with the group. But in psychodrama < Here and Now > means all the time including < Then- There > in psychoanalysis. The protagonist and the director are ‘alive’ in here and now, and then the protagonist is cured by the corrective emotion-experience. This study presents the practice methods in psychodrama process and techniques.
